Charlize Theron in news, to Face Trial
Beautiful Hollywood Actress Charlize Theron will face a trial over allegations she reneged on a contract with a watch manufacturer Raymond Weil in New Yourk, a judge has ruled. Court judge ruled that despite attempts by Theron to have the suit dismissed, the litigation filed by the Swiss watch manufacturer Raymond Weil will go to trial this month, the New York Daily News reported Sunday.
Young actress Charlize Theron has been sued for 20 million dollars by the Swiss watch manufacturer for reneging the endorsement contract specifying that she will wear only their watches. The legal notice came after the 'Monster' star was spotted wearing sporting a Christian Dior watch. Theron tried to fight the claims back in February, but this week a judge ruled that the proceedings must indeed go to trial, reports the New York Daily News. In the lawsuit, Raymond Weil demands the "substantial funds" estimated by lawyers to be 20 million dollars. According to court papers, Theron must appear in Federal Court for the Southern District of New York by the end of October.
