American Famous The O. J. Simpson Trial
Former football star from US, O.J. Simpson is on trial now for kidnapping and robbery charges, This incident in a Las Vegas hotel about a year ago. Police arrested O. J. Simpson in Las Vegas, Nevada. The guilty verdicts charges could send Simson to jail for his rest life. Prosecutors say that Simpson and 5 other men rushed into a Las Vegas hotel room last September 13to recover sports memorabilia. At least two other men with Simpson with guns as they robbed two dealers of sports memorabilia.
The Jury of 9 women and 3 men unanimously found Simpson guilty. The Jury member found guilty after more than thirteen hours of deliberations. O. J. Simson was cleared for double murder case in America's famous trial...."trial of the century". Simpson and Stewart both faces mandatory min. sentences for five years in to the jail.
Lawyers of Defense argued that O. J. Simpson went to the hotel only to retrieve personal mementos that were stolen from him following his murder trial and was unaware that two of his sidekicks were armed. Four of the other men originally charged in the case have agreed to plead guilty and all took the witness stand for the prosecution during nearly three weeks of testimony that concluded on Wednesday. Neither Simpson nor Stewart testified in their own defense. Simpson's ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman were found stabbed and slashed to death on June 12th, 1994, and the popular former athlete known as "The Juice" was charged. Simpson was found not guilty on October 3rd, 1995 at the end of a yearlong trial that was carried live gavel-to-gavel on US television and transfixed much of the world.
Report said that a civil court jury later found O. J. Simpson liable for the murder and ordered him to pay $33.5 million for damages to the victims' families, a judgment that remains largely unpaid.
