O.C. shaken by the 4.5 earthquake in San Bernardino

A magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck near downtown San Bernardino at 7:49, shaking a large part of southern California, including all of Orange County. The USGS map shows that the quake broke along the San Jacinto error system that is able to produce a catastrophic Quake. San Bernardino moderate earthquake struck Thursday night in San Bernardino with shaking felt from Los Angeles 55 miles to the west and south to Orange County. No immediate reports of damage or injuries were reported.San Bernardino County Fire Supervisor Tim Franke said there were no reports of damage in the areas of his ministry covers.

Further origin of the earthquake, Cal State San Bernardino professor Dale Sechrest said shaking lasted about 15 seconds. "Nothing has fallen over, something fell of the shelves," he told . The earthquake experts have long said San Bernardino are particularly vulnerable to a massive temblor - the type many times stronger than Thursday's Quake.
